Ο Άκης Δέτσης γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1963. Σπούδασε Μαθηματικά στην Αθήνα και εργάζεται στον τομέα της Πληροφορικής. Είναι μέλος του Φωτογραφικού Κύκλου από το 1996 και έχει παρουσιάσει φωτογραφίες του σε δύο ατομικές και μερικές ομαδικές εκθέσεις.
Το 1998 κυκλοφόρησε το φωτογραφικό του λεύκωμα με τίτλο «Χώροι». Το 2001 συμμετείχε στην έκθεση και έκδοση του Μουσείου Μπενάκη «Αθήνα 2001– φωτογραφικές όψεις και Απόψεις».

Akis Detsis was born in Athens in 1963. He studied Mathematics in Athens and works in the Information Technology field. He has been a member of Photography Circle since 1996 and he has presented photographs in two solo and several group exhibitions.
A monograph with some of his photographs has been published by ‘Photohoros Publishing’ (“Little Series”) in 1998 under the title “Spaces”. In 2001 he participated in the Benaki Museum exhibition and album publishing "Athens 2001 – photographic aspects and views".
